New healthcare facility opens in Al-Rawda area
The hospital will bring essential healthcare to the Bani Al-Harith neighborhood.
The project cost approximately 1.5 billion riyals.
Secretary of the Capital Abdulqader Helal said at the opening that the hospital would provide services for many people in Sana’a and other cities. Moreover, it will provide relief to the overcrowded government hospitals in Sana’a. He pointed out that the hospital is five floors, each composed of 180 beds, five operation rooms, external clinics and emergency rooms.
Minister of Public Health and Population Minister Dr. Ahmed Qasem Al-Ansi said the hospital is an addition to the health and medical associations concerned with motherhood and childhood already operating in Yemen. He said the hospital is equipped with modern devices and medical equipment to serve many people in densely populated areas.
Abdullah Matar Al-Mazroa’ai, the United Arab Emirates’ (U.A.E.) ambassador to Yemen, attended the ceremony.
“When equipping the hospital, we paid attention to use the best technical, medical and administrative specifications to provide the best services for people in order to be the best working hospital in Yemen,” he said.
He said the U.A.E. paid great attention to the hospital, which aims to improve health services for children and mothers using the best equipment available. Al-Mazroa’ai said the hospital was built and equipped at the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi’s expense.
