In Old Sana’a, spread between Al-Nahrein Mosque and the Open Theater, the Life Makers’ Forum in Sana’a organized a carnival, “Ramadan Al-Shoob,” to welcome the holiday. It is to restore Yemeni and Islamic heritages in general.

One hundred fifty-three children participated in the carnival. They chanted songs and slogans relating to Ramadan, as they arrived at the Open Theater.

Mufeed Al- Shabani, executive manager of the Life Makers’ Forum, said the purpose of the carnival was to restore Islamic heritage. He said Arab Islamic nations will take part in another carnival on the fifth day of Ramadan. There will be an exhibition of food, beverages and Ramadan traditions for the participant countries.
