SANA’A — Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi,  Minister of Foreign Affairs in the national unity government, said on Saturday that 29 of Yemen’s ambassadors abroad will be changed after former ones have been called home.

The Defense Ministry’s website quoted Al-Qirbi saying that the issue is in the hands of the president and arrangements have been taken to choose Yemen’s future diplomats to foreign countries.

Many of Yemen’s ambassadors resigned on March 18th in a protest against the killing of anti-regime protesters by security forces.

“The designations will be done in line with the Yemeni diplomatic law and Yemen’s strategy for the diplomacy to achieve the demands of the current stage and Yemen’s needs to face development and security challenges,” Al-Qirbi said.

He added that preparation for the national dialogue conference is going well, saying President Hadi will release a decree soon on forming both a committee to contact all Yemeni political forces in and outside Yemen and a preparatory committee for the national dialogue.
