This week’s Article 19 program discussed freedom of the press and welcomed Hamdan Al-Alyee, an opinion writer, and Mohammed Al-Hunahi, a local journalist, to talk about Yemen’s press corps, its limitations and its duties. A local political cartoonist, Rashad Al-Samei, also called into the program and spoke at length about the perception of political cartoons in Yemen.

To comment on how the anti-government protests played out and what they now mean in the nations where they took place, the program featured Mustafa Nasr, the head of Studies and Economic Media Center, and Abdulbari Al-Hassani, the head of the Organizing Committee of the Youth Revolutionary Council.
