Khalid Al-Karimi, 23

The first thing that we want to see accomplished is for the protesting youth to smoothly depart from squares across the country once president Hadi swears in to office. The evacuation of the squares is necessary, for the continuation of protests and demonstrations suggests that the youth don’t totally trust Hadi to rule over the country – even after the euphoria expressed on Election Day.
Therefore, such a contradiction must be resolved. We want the ‘tents and camps’ technique to be retired for some time so as to allow the new president distinguish himself. Moreover, we want President Hadi to hold the law in esteem, and not give corrupt individuals and criminals a chance to contravene the rules.
We are in need of  law enforcement, justice, and equity. We need radical resolutions or an alleviation of the present security situation and economic imbalance. We do not anticipate miracles. Rather, we await tangible remedies for the manifold aspects of life.

Adel Ahmed, 31

The first thing that must be changed is the type of corruption which took place over in the last 33 years all throughout our government institutions. Hadi must create a new government structure in order to prevent corruption from spreading. All Yemenis must live in a pure community, and they must receive their rights and have their demands met. This will truly provide for our economy in an effective way.

The new coming president has to speed up the process of restructuring the Yemeni Army. Restructuring the Yemeni Army will confidently lead to the end of political and financial corruption that eventually led to the current situation. Hadi should know that without the YOUTH protest and demand for a democratic and civil government, he would not even be able to keep his ex-position rather than being a president. If hadi fails to put an end for corruption and family control in the Yemeni army, youth chants and voices will be raised again against him and his rule. Sorry for the strong tone but not more for dictatorship.....

New President Must take a comprehensive approach towards development of nation, Corruption is on the top, Qhat is the evil its a leakage of economy etc we knew it, Yemen is the reservoir of talent it must be handled and directed properly through good educational system. Conflicts among Muslim brothers should be answered through Sunnah of our Prophet. Finally i am an Indian actually i leaved in Yemen for few years i found people of Yemen generous kind and true human beings, I love this county Allah will bless You.

Demand AQAP leave. They are a curse to every land and people that suffers them to dwell with them. They love bloodshed and tyranny, and have no real caring for the country or people they endanger by attacking foreign nations. If AQAP doesn't leave, they must be destroyed out of the land.

First and for most, we want Mr. Hadi to remove all those whom are associated with the prior president. After individuals who cause corruption have been removed, then he should focus on making our streets safe for all Yemenis. If an individual is caught or is seen with a weapons outside, without any licenses to carry a weapon, he then should be imprisoned and tried for that crime; as it is a crime to carry a weapon and threating people with that weapon. Accordingly, If Mr. Hadi would to try to boost our economy he should start by fixing the streets of Yemeni. Many of Yemen’s streets are very diminished, and dangerous, very narrow for a few individuals to walk, yet we see very big vehicles drive on them. Many people have had loved ones die do to the very, very, bad conditions of the streets of Yemen, in particular the streets of many of the villages. Fixing the streets will help boost our economy, because the streets need many blue-collared people, individuals who work in construction and usually have no college degree- many men and women fall into that category in Yemen- and these people will have jobs and jobs bring better living conditions and boost our economy, thus, streets of Yemen should be fixed immediately. Moreover, the educational system should be improved, old teachers should either be replaced, or retrained, they should also be reevaluated every year to see if they are making improvements in childrens’ learning. Schools should be evaluated; if a school at the end of the year ranks low in test scores, then that school’s staff and teachers should be revaluated, retrained, or penalized. Sadly many of the teachers, in particular teachers of the non-city areas are being very neglectful of their students. From personal visual seen, teachers believe that the students of the villages have no future due to their harsh living condition and lack of steem, however, this is not true as there are many dedicated students who thrive to improve their living condition if only they had a better education , so please help them. All in all, Mr. Hadi has a lot of work ahead of him, but with will and power, and trust in Allah (swt), he can be a maker and not a breaker of Yemen, which is according to many western countries, “… Yemen is one of the poorest countries in the Arabian Peninsula.” Please, Mr. Hadi, have faith in our country and fix it to be a well-established Muslim country.
