Lutf Abdu, 15, and his cousin Naji, 9, were collecting empty cans and
water bottles at midnight in Sa’wan, Sana’a, to earn a little money. The
place was dark with nobody in the area except drivers who drove their
cars too fast. But they were not afraid.
They were exhausted from their hard work when the Yemen Times approached
them asking about their family. They immediately led the way to their
home, telling their father that a journalist was outside.
