He was applauded for creating THE 99, first group of Muslim superheroes intended to reflect the values of tolerance and peace in Islam, particularly among children. Among the superheroes is a Yemeni women named Batina with the power of invisibility. THE 99 has been mentioned in media around the world and Dr. Al-Mutawa was recently singled out and praised by American President Obama for contributing to the promotion of dialogue between Muslim communities and the United States.
