Columnist Abdulhamza al-Mansouri says in an article
criticising the Arab stand towards the current Zionist entity’s massacres
perpetrated against the Palestinian people that the present reality of
the Arab nation is not to be surprised at because it is a result of fragmentation
and subsevience created by the Arabs’ enemies embodied by Zionists, Americans
and British. Zionism has diagnosed that confronting the Arabs as united
is something impossible and that what the Zionists have gained. The writer
puts forwards a question whether the Arabs are aware of that situation.
He says they perceive that but those of Arab leaderships satellite of the
American-Zionist policy illusively think that they are away from the Zionists
conspiracies now implemented against the Palestinian people. The writer
says that if those Arabs continue keeping silent towards the Zionists crimes,
the Arab people do have the decision and possess the appropriate action.

Dr Saleh Mahdi al-Muntassir says in an article
that Israel as terrorist state receiving support from the United States
of America and the NATO countries represents a factor destroying credibility
of those countries governments with regard to fighting terrorism.
What Israel, under leadership of Sharon, is carrying
out now of military escalation, destruction of all vital Palestinian institutions
and infrastructure, killing innocent people and demolition of thousands
of houses is meant for building a security shelter for its entity preceding
the declaration of the state of Palestine and in preparation for an American-Israeli
agreement regarding the Palestinian state.

Columnist Fawzi al-Kahili says in an article that
the fate to which president Yasser Arafat has reached confirms anew darkness
of the end of the so-called tunnel of peace with the enemy. It is the same
destiny other rulers would face even if tens of y ears pass on their fragile
peace with the Zionists. He adds that now after that America has joined
completely the Zionist enemy’s antagonism, there is no longer any reason
for the presence of an American ambassador or interests in our country
or in any other Arab countries.
All interviews and analyses and statements we
have watched on satellite channels during the past few days confirm that
the Arab official system has come to an end and the ball is now in the
court of the peoples in order to come out of the state of intimidation
and weakness.

_Washington gave terrorist Sharon green light
to step up his war against the Palestinians
Columnist Abdulla al-Dahmashi says U.S.-made weapons
are no longer the only means of the war of annihilation in occupied Palestine.
This war has become a pure decision of the American administration. When
Bush describes terrorism of the Jewish state as ‘’ legitimate self-defence’’,
the declared meaning is that the comprehensive war is a plan led by general
Zinnin and implemented by the notorious terrorist Sharon. And when Arab
leaders beg Bush’s administration to protect Palestinian president Yasser
Arafat, it is so evident that the Arab reply to Sharon’s crimes and war
of annihilation in occupied Palestine must begin in Washington, specifically
at the White House.
The American administration hinders the international
community’s movement, agreements and institutions in their pursuit to condemning
terrorism of the Zionist state and to incriminate the brutality of massacres
in the Sharonite war. The same administration prevents international organisations
from playing their moral and humane role in protecting a defenceless people
against pitched severity of the most sophisticated American weapons.
International agreements and conventions oblige
Arab regimes to retaliate the decision of war declared from inside the
White House against the Palestinian defenceless people. U.N. and security
council resolutions also define that the reply should be directed towards
the American policy, as the only power supporting the Zionist entity with
finance, weapons and siding with its crimes. American policy also prevents
providing protection for the Palestinian people and supporting their legitimate
rights stipulated in international community will and legitimacy of its
charters and resolutions of its organizations.
The writer urges the Arab regimes to boycott
the United States in protest to its violations of the international legitimacy
in occupied Palestine. He also urges the Arab regimes to respond to calamities
of the Palestinian people at the hands of the Zionist occupation forces,
providing them with means and elements that help them defend themselves
against crimes of genocide they are now facing.
As-Sahwa weekly 4 April 2002.
Main Headlines:
_Zionist war machine kills the Palestinians,
Arab armies confront demonstrators
_Yemeni journalists demand expulsion of U.S.
ambassador
_Islah withdraws from local council in Hadramaut
Editorial of the newspaper by its editor in chief
says that in 1956 the now Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon pledged that
he would burn any Palestinian child born in the area because those children
presence would mean continuation of new coming Palestinian generations.
He had further mentioned that even if he would lose all posts and became
an ordinary Israeli citizen he would bur any Palestinian he would encounter
on street and would have him tortured to death.
Throughout more than half a century Sharon has
kept loyal and committed to what he had promised. The important thing in
this regard is to comprehend that the question is not merely personal intentions
of both Zionist and Arab systems but rather two approaches or styles governed
by the same systematicness. With all the Zionist arrogance against Arab
and Islamic peoples, the Arab regimes have been one of the means of this
arrogance whether they are aware of it or not. Absence of democracy, keeping
rules of emergency alive, corrupting political life and impoverishing the
society are factors making the Zionist arrogance live and thrive.
Annas weekly, 1 April 2002.
Main Headlines:
_Yasser Arafat faces physical liquidation danger
_Miyad: Abolishing automobile customs, an economic
revolution
_Students face internal terrorism, condemn Israel’s
terror
Columnist Sadeq Nasher says in his article alone
Yasser Arafat and the entire Palestinian people deserve to be protector
of the Arab Islamic nation honour that is exposed to offending. Following
the bloody events in the Palestinian city of Ramalla and other Palestinian
authority cities and areas during the past several days the Arab nation’s
dignity has been treated with contempt.
The writer queries about when the Arab nation
leaders would wake up and release themselves from the illusive thinking
that the United States of America alone can bring peace to the Arabs. America
and Israel are considered as one state and there is no difference between
them. Both Sharon and Bush are two sides of the same coin. The Arabs should
not believe that peace comes from America, the gun is the only means that
is able to achieve peace not the illusions that Arabs have been depending
on throughout all these years.

The newspaper’s political editor writes the Zionist
entity would not have been able to perpetrate this degree of crime and
brutality and step its terrorism against the defenceless Palestinian people
had it not been for the American blind bias to Israel.
At any rate we do not think that the United States
that the policy it is following in the Middle East would make it lose its
status at the international level. America faced misfortune on 11 September
events and received the whole world sympathy and it was supposed that it
would not put itself at biased and extremist positions towards Israel and
its terrorist practices because this would undoubtedly make it lose its
credibility and damage its interests in the Arab region, as has been expressed
by the Arab masses in all Arab capitals.
The American administration must listen to the
voice of Arab masses and think of it and its demands in order to adopt
more just stands towards what is going on of Zionist organized acts of
terror and atrocities against the Palestininan people. It should carry
out what it should, i.e. not to be biased to Israel and bless what criminal
acts and annihilation Sharon is perpetrating by considering the legitimate
Palestinian resistance as terrorism. The difference between terrorism and
peoples’ right to resistance and self-defence against invaders and occupation.
The Palestinian resistance does not go beyond the frame of legitimate resistance
in defence of their freedom and for liberating their land and establishing
their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
